Dear Passengers: what it is, and what is actually known
An unreleased co-op comedy that took two million Steam wishlists in eighteen days and is, today, the third most wishlisted game on the entire store — with no gameplay footage, no demo and no date. Here is the verified state of it.
Last checked:
Dear Passengers is an unreleased online co-op comedy for Windows PC in which you and your friends crew a failing airline. Steam's Release Date field says "2026". There is no demo, no price, no announced lobby size and no day, and FLEXUS have not posted on Steam since 31 July 2026.
What the game is
One of you flies the plane. The rest work the cabin: serving passengers, keeping the cargo where it should be, and stopping one problem from becoming the whole flight. Before takeoff you choose which passengers and which cargo to accept, and the store page is explicit that the better-paying ones are the ones that cause trouble. Weather is a system rather than a backdrop — turbulence throws passengers, luggage and anything loose around the cabin.
Structurally it is the same machine as PEAK or R.E.P.O.: physics objects, a shared job, and a small group of people who are each individually responsible for the disaster. Kotaku called it friendslop on the day after the trailer went up, and it is hard to argue.

The lobby size nobody has published
Every article about this game says "you and your friends" because that is all there is to say. The store page describes one pilot and an unspecified number of people in the cabin. Steam's category list gives no number. Five developer announcements give no number. Two long interviews with the founder give no number. If you find a page confidently telling you it is four players, ask it where that came from — one outlet has printed it, unsourced, and everyone else sensibly declined.
Steam does list a Single-player category alongside the co-op ones, which usually means solo is at least possible. It does not tell you whether solo is a real mode or a lobby with empty seats in it.
Who FLEXUS are
A Kyiv studio founded in 2020 — their own words: "grown through a pandemic and a full-scale war", 70-odd people, 300 million downloads. The legal entity is Flexus Games LTD, registered in Limassol, Cyprus. The founder is Semen Kozyura.
The back catalogue is entirely hyper-casual mobile: Tower Craft, Mow My Lawn, Dye Hard, Train Miner. Dear Passengers is their first PC game and the only product under their name on Steam. That cuts both ways, and it is worth being plain about which way. A studio that has shipped four games to a hundred million people is not a hobby project and knows how to finish things. A studio that has never shipped a physics co-op game on Steam has never shipped a physics co-op game on Steam, and that is the hard part.
The wishlist run, in the developers' own words
The Steam page and the trailer went live on 13 July 2026. What followed was unusual enough that the announcements read better as a sequence than as news.
- 15 July 2026 — "700,000 passengers onboard in just 36 hours".
- 17 July 2026 — one million, and "In just two days, Dear Passengers reached the Top 25 most wishlisted games on Steam". The post adds: "No marketing. No paid creators. No ads."
- 20 July 2026 — 1.5 million.
- 31 July 2026 — two million and Steam's top 6. A gameplay video is announced as being "cooked right now".
- 24 September 2026 — third most wishlisted game on Steam, behind Deadlock and Light No Fire, checked against Valve's own list. Still no gameplay video.
The Steam announcements stop at 31 July, which is fifty-five days of silence on the store page after eighteen days of daily milestones. The studio has not gone quiet everywhere — their X account posted about the wishlist rank on 5 September and the Discord has some fourteen thousand members — but the place where a buyer would look has had nothing new on it since July. That is the reason the release date needs a tracker rather than a sentence.
Two things worth knowing before you read anything else
The AI accusation, and the answer
In July 2026 an old FLEXUS job advert asking for a 2D artist comfortable with generative AI was circulated as evidence the game was AI-made. A developer replied on the game's own Steam forum on 15 July: "No AI was used in the creation of Dear Passengers... That was an old job posting related to marketing assets for some of our mobile projects." The advert was subsequently edited. That is the whole record, and it is a denial rather than proof in either direction.
There is already a copy of it on Steam
Worst Airline Ever (AppID 4437750, Pengana Studio) appeared with the same premise, a Coming Soon page, "2026", and "Online co-op for 1-4 players". It is a different product by a different studio. If you are wishlisting, check the AppID — 4534960 is the one people are talking about.

Disclosure. This site belongs to L.A. Games, who are making Worst Lifeguards — a four-player online co-op physics comedy about a beach lifeguard station. It is in the same category as Dear Passengers and, in commercial terms, competing with it for the same four people on the same evening. We have written this page the way we would want somebody to write ours: if what you want is Dear Passengers specifically, nothing here replaces it, including ours.
